PAPAKURA SCHOOL.
The monthly meeting of the l'apakura School Committee was presided over by the Kev. W. C. Wood- The hen :i master's* report stated the roll number to be 350, a decrease of over 100 in five years. Appreciation was expressed to the Auckland Primary Schools' Association of the excellent arrangements made for the children on their trip to Auckland to see the Duke of Gloucester. The resignation of Mrs. C. McConnell on leaving the district was accepted with regret. The chairman said she had been a member for over seven years and had given time and money without stint in the interests of the school children. All the other members also spoke in high appreciation of her work.
