FIRE BRIGADES' CONTEST.
THE TAUMARUNUI TEAM. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAUMARUNUI, this day. Since commencing training six weeks ago the team to represent Taumarunui at the United Fire Brigades' Association's annual competitions, whidi Blcntj heim on February 25, has been changed somewhat on account of Fireman W. Watson receiving a broken arm when a ladder collapsed during a practice. , The. team will now comprise: Deputy-super-intendent G. Robinson (gold star). Fireman J. Pearce, Fireman D. Nissen, Fireman E. Manson and Fireman A. Barnes. Fireman Pearce will be the brigade's delegate at the conference. The team leaves for the South to-morrow evening.
