FAREWELL TO MINISTER.
■ ■ REV. W. XAWSON MARSH. There were largo congregations yesterday in the Devon port Presbyterian Church at the farewell services to the Rev. W. Lawson Marsh. Members and staff of the Devonport Borough Council attended the morning service. The Mayor, Mr. H. F. W. Meikle, was unable to be present owing to illness. Mr. Marsh, who has accepted the pastorate of the Columba Presbyterian Church, Oamaru, said that he looked back on his eight years' ministry at Devonport with pleasure, and earnestly prayed that the future would see greater ttfings being accomplished. A social gathering will be held this evening to farewell Mr. and Mrs. Marsh and family. They leave this week for Oamaru.
