True Measure Pleases. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TE AWAMUTU, this day. Fast work at Te Awamutu this morning was carried out on the course proper, the flags. being out 10ft, and also on the inner plough. The going was slightly easier on the course proper owing to rain overnight. The inner grass was also available for pace work. On the course proper Rex Victoli was first out, and was moving along nicely in completing three furlongs in 365. Kurapae pleased by running six furlongs easily in 1.17 2-5. This fellow is getting through much useful work of late, and will be in nice order for the Rotorua meeting. "Tawhaio was easing up at the end of five furlongs run in 1-3 3-5. Glenation was running a trifle grceu over three furlongs, covered in 37 l-ss. This gelding is making his first public appearace at Rotorua. Valmarina had a break of several lengths on True Measure at the beginning of five furlongs, which took 1.2 1-5, True Measure having a substantial lead at the finish. This was the best effort of the morning. On the plough Kanapa was given a strong working gallop over seven furlongs, but wan not timed. Trishna was allotted five furlongs, and registered 1.4 1-5. Maid of the Air jumped away from the threefurlong peg to run home in 38 l-ss. Doing slow pace tasks were Wait and See, ICnight of Australia, Sweet Rose, Arawa Rose. Loombination, Musqtiil, Salesman, Callistro, Opinion, an Acre gelding and the King Nassau—Hemstitch | gelding. 1
