TAKAPUNA RACES.
KILTOWYN IS CUP VICTOR. FIREBRICK TAKES THE TRIAL. KING FORD AMD ADALENE WIN. The; summer meeting of tlie Takapuna Jockey Club opened at Ellerslie to-day in overcast weather. There is a fair attendance, and the track is in good order. The Trial Stakes was won by the second favourite, Firebrick, who beat Mazir and Alignment comfortably at the finish. The open sprint, the Zealandia Handicap, was won all the way by King Ford. In the Ferry Hack, Adalene, Ballymoney (favourite) and Lap paid the dividends. Kiltowyn, the favourite, was victorious in the Cup, being followed home by Prince Colossus and King s Archer.
