SIZES OF HEADS.
OF MENTAL DEFECTIVES. (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, January 25. At a Royal Society of Medicine debate, Dr. Richard Berry, formerly of Melbourne-, said it had been proved that at least two-thirds of mental defectives were small headedDr. R. Mackenzie Stewart said mental deficiency manifested itself as much in tlie body as in the brain. Mental defectives were nearly always undersized, but this need not establish any prejudice in favour of very tall or large-beaded persons. Men with massive heads did j not necessarily represent the intelliI gentsia.
