IN NO DANGER.
BURNT BRITISH TANKER. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 2 p.m.) RUGBY, January 25. In mid-Atlantic, where the British oiltanker Valverda is lying disabled following a severe fire which gutted her engine-room three days, ago, the weather is still bad, but there are signs that it is moderating. The Admiralty states that the cruiser Frobisher is standing by awaiting the arrival of the auxiliary ' oiler Orangeleaf with salvage * hawsers, which are being sent from "Bermuda, to tow the Valverda into port. The fire has now been extinguished. All the personnel have already reported safe, and the sAip is in 110 danger.
