TE AROHA JOCKEY CLUB.
Nominations for all events at the le Aroha Jockey Club's annual meeting, to be held on February 23 and 25, will close with Messrs. Blomfiekl and Co., Shortlaiul Street, Auckland, at 5 p.m., and with the secretary, Mr. J. P. Somers, at Te Aroha, at 8 p.m. on February 8. The programme for the club's annual race meeting on February 23 and 25 next, is now issued. For the sixteen events the stake money totals £3435, an increase over last year. The principal events are the Herries Memorial Cup of £500 and gold cup valued at £50, the Champion Cup Hack Handicap of £300 and gold cup valued at • £50, and the President's Handicap of £300. The average throughout is over £214 per j race. The club is making arrangements, for a record meeting and is assured of the I support of both owners and trainers towards the object in view.
