TAURANGA NOTES
Sir Walter and Lady Carncross, of Eltliani, are visiting Tauranga. The Rev. D. and Mrs. Rankin, of Timaru, are visitors at "Brightlands." Mrs. Frogley, of Auckland, is accompanying lier husband on a trip to Tauranga. A Wellington visitor is Miss Loydon, who is at tlie Commercial Hotel. Further Wellington visitors arc Dr. and Mrs. Clarke. From Sydney arc Dr. and Mrs. Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Goldsmith. Mrs. W. Blomfield, of Otorohanga, has brought her family to Tauranga for the holidays. Mrs. Twiname, of Auckland, with her two children has taken a furnished house here for a week or two. Dr. and Mrs. A. A. MacFarfane, of Huntly, are at Mount Maunganui. Dr. and Mrs. Stephenson, of Auckland, are enjoying a holiday in Tauranga. Mrs. C. F. Chicken was the hostess at j a farewell party for Mrs. C. M. Hewett recently. Bridge was played, and after supper was served, best wishes were extended to Mrs. Hewett. Among the ladies present were: Mrs. Hewett, Mrs. Bruce Beale, Mrs. Bradmore, Mrs. Macdougall, Mrs. J. Jordan, and Mrs. Ilalliday.
