THE ADVENTURE OF FIDO
Fido's adventures on the whole proved rather breath-taking, and the judges had quite an exciting time correcting entries for our recent paragraph competition. Weird indeed were some of the experiences, and it was astonishing the wide variety of themes Budgetites managed to weave into their 100-word storyettes. Fido commenced life as a
mild little cocker spaniel, and passed , in varying stages of ferocity from a Pom. to a terrier, from a bulldog to an Alsatian, finally coming to a dreadful end as a ferocious man-eating wolfhound. However, all's well that ends well, and most of the stories left clever Fido in happy possession of a juicy bone. Our congratulations to the winners, for their work was quite well done.
