CHILD SAVED.
ON CHELTENHAM BEACH.
The timely action of Mr. Bertram Stevenson, of Vatixhall, saved a girl from drowning at Cheltenham on Saturday afternoon. The child, aged about five, got into difficulties some distance out and began to sink. Mr. Stevenson swam to her rescue and brought her ashore. This is the second rescue from drowning he has effected in the past few weeks, the first being that of a young woman at Ponsonbv.
