EXCURSION CROWD.
DAY AT NEW PLYMOUTH
;By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) ' n TAUMARUXUI, this day. The excursion train which left Taumarunui at 0 o'clock on Sunday morning for /New Plymouth was well patronised, the 14 coaches being well filled when it left Okahukurn. Passengers joined the train at the varum* stations before arriving at Ohura, where it wan found necessary to attach another coach. At Stratford it was estimated that there were 500 excursionists on board. The excursion was very popular, and, the weather being ideal, the people from the Central King Country spent a pleasant day at Pukekura Park and the beach.
