COUNTRY ELECTORATES.
(Received 12 noon.) MELBOURNE, this day. Convinced that attention to the requirements of a country electorate is better given by a man, Lady Peacock,
who upon the death last year of her husband, Sir Alexander Peacock, was elected to succeed him as representative of Allandale in the State Parliament, has announced that she does not intend to seek re-election.
