TAUMARUNUI ASSOCIATION.
The Taumarunui Cricket Association's Cup competition was resumed on Saturday in ideal weather, and wins were registered by Ongarue, Railway and Taumarunui. *In the game between Matnpuna and Ongarue victory went to the latter by tlie margin of 51 runs. Jlatapuna batted first and compiled 110 runs. O'Reilly (20) and Holford (27) being the highest scorers, ongarue in their innings made 107 runs, llearfield being the outstanding batsman, with 52 runs to liis credit. In the Taumarunui-Veneer match the former won by 11 runs, the scores being Taumarunui OS, Veneer S7. The game between Railway and Taringamotu was played at Taringamotu, the result being a victory for Railway. Railway batted lirst and _ were dismissed for 321 runs. Taringamotu followed and were nil out for 30 runs. In their second innings Taringamotu made a better showing and made 84 runs for nve wickets when stumps were drawn.
