Te Kahu Wins First Race — Mute Unplaced.

All started in the Oak Handicap, and when the machine closed most support came for Te Kahu ( £079), Mute ( £473) and Polly Pan ( £43G). All went away to a good start, and Grand Triumph led out from Polly Pan, Audo Patch, and Te Kahu, with Mute breaking, but when they came round again Polly Pan was showing the way to Audo Patch, Grand Triumph and Te Kahu. Te Kahu ran up third along the back, where Grand Triumph broke, and the order into the straight was Te Kahu, Audo Patch and Polly Pan, the last-named breaking. Te Kahu came away in the run home and went on to beat Polly Pan easily by three lengths, with Audo Patch half a length away, third. Wahnooka was fourth, then came Mountain Sun and Grand Triumph.
