AUCKLAND TROTS. SECOND DAY AT EPSOM. Review of the Fields. The summer meeting'of the Auckland Trotting Club will be advanced another stage at Alexandra Park to-morrow. Ideal conditions are again likely, and another good day's sport should be provided. All the best pacers in the Dominion are again engaged in the principal races, while the other events have filled well. The Opening Event. Only eight paid up for the Oak Handicap, but a good race is likely. Auda Patch possesses a good burst of speed, and would take a lot of beating were he to begin correctly. Grand Triumph and I'olly Pan have chances, while Mute would only have to repeat his Te Aroha form, when he finis.Vd second to Great Admiral, to "nearly win. Te Kahu displayed very promising form last season, and must be respected. Of those further back, Autumn Lu and Mountain Sun appeal most. In a good betting race the favourite division may be MUTE. TE KAHU. POLLY PAN. G.N. Derby. Next comes the classic race, the Great Northern Derby, which has drawn a ticid of nine three-year-olds. Gamble will most likely start favourite, and his form in the New Zealand Demy warrants the ; support. Subsidy pleased by finishing i strongly a head away from War Girl in the Akarana Handicap, registering 3.22 l-f)—a brilliant effort. Proletarian has disappointed in his previous efforts, but lie has been working well. Bonny Azure is a promising sort. Superfine is the best -of the others. Best backed may be SUBSIDY GAMBLE BONNY AZURE. The Improvers. Eleven improving pacers are engaged in the Tramway Handicap and a hard problem is set backers. Of the eight on the limit, Muriel Bond, Nelson Luvan and Rongoniai appeal most. All fire speedy pacers and will take a deal of beating from the front of the handicap. Great Chum and Rare Rey went solid races yesterday and slight improvement would give them an undoubted chance. Most support may Ijc accorded RONGOMAI RARE REY NELSON LUVAN. Champion Handicap. A field of the most brilliant pacers in the Dominion will line up for the Champion Handicap, and all can go a merry mile and a quarter. Arabond is the only one on tlie front and he is not likely to be favoured. There are four on l'2yds and Blue Mountain should be the best of them. He is a good horse at any distance. Great Parrish shouldi beot Kewpie's Triumph and First Flight. Indianapolis let his supporters down badly yesterday, but he will go out favourite again to-morrow, as he is considered to be an outstanding pacer. Auburn Lad should go well from 36yds, and so also should Glenrossie and Impromptu. Jewel Pointer docs not appeal and Roi l'Or has been set a big task to win from GOyds, but he is good. Harold Logan. 84yds, does not appear to have much chance in a true-run race. Summed-up, there should be support for INDIANAPOLIS BLUE MOUNTAIN IMPROMPTU. Innovation Handicap. Chancellor will be the favourite for the Innovation Handicap. He is a smart pacer and yesterday's defeat can be passed over, as he lost his prospects by a bad start, but showed plenty of pace afterwards. Colonial Boy beat all but Great Parrish at a mile and a quarter yesterday and is capable of going a. smart twelve furlongs. Dan Direct has not displayed his best form for a long time, and Homeward was disappointing yesterday after leading into the straight. Travis lias speed and may bring off a surprise, while Francis Lincoin is a smart customer who must always be considered. Nimbtis and Pukemiro are useful, and Realty can go a good twelve furlongs. Sure must bo in demand, a.s she won well yesterday, and though Great Parrish is 48yds behind, he is brilliant at times. In what should be a fine race the favourites may be CHANCELLOR FRANCIS LINCOLN COLONIAL BOY. The Epsom Handicap. The better class trotters are catered for with the Epsom Handicap. Guy o' Mine ruined his chance yesterday by a bad beginning, while Golden Eagle would only have to improve slightly to have a chance. Mataunga trotted in great style yesterday, and has a great chance, but Wsthnooka failed to go steadily. After his impressive win in the Selby Handicap on the first day Ganton appears to stand out. The issue locks between GANTON, MATAUNGA, WAHNOOKA. A Small Field. A small field figures in the Dominion Handicap, but the issue appears open. Smoke Screen paced a sound race yesterday, and looks to improve upon that performance. Bingen Chief must be respected, while Bracken was finishing on well. Mocast appears best of the others. A likely trio are SMOKE SCREEN, BRACKEN, BINGEN CHIEF. The Sprinters. The day's sport will end with the Ranfurly Handicap, an event for sprinters. Donum possesses a great burst of speed and will be suited 'ty the distance, while Realty and Jackie Thorpe are sure to be in the picture. Colonial Boy should get a place, but Worthy Light should nearly win after nis eood form in the Royal Cup. Sure must be respected after his first day's victory, and Kewpie's Guy and Tempest cannot be discarded. Three likely to be well supported are WORTHY LIGHT, KEWPIE'S GUY, COLONIAL BOY.
