UMBRELLA SLUMP.
COLOGNE, November 21. The newly-founded "German Umbrella Front" will shortly meet at Cologne to discuss ways and means of how to make the German nation umbrella-minded and to help the umbrella and sunshade industry on its feet. With a great part of the nation wearin<r some sort of uniform —be it the brown shirt of the party, the brown storm trooper tunic, the black and silver uniform of the Scliutzstaffel, or the olive oreen of the Labour Corps—the sales of umbrellas have decreased to such an extent that approximately 150,000 persons have been thrown out of work. A nation-wide campaign, including prize competitions, is planned by the German umbrella makers to restore the popularity of the umbrella. i
