WON BY HYPERION. PERTH, December 27. The West Australian Turf Club's annual carnival was opened to-day. The West Australian Derby resulted as follows: —Hyperion, 8.10 (Callinan), 1; Bivalve, 8.10 (Miller), 2; Staunch, 8.10 (Morley), 3. Five started.
