PLAYERS FOE ENGLAND.
ACQUISITIONS BY ST. HELENS.
Twjb prominent young Auckland Rugby League players, Mort. Stephens and Cyril Blacklaws, members-of the Newton Rangers Club, yesterday received cablegrams from the St. Helens Club making substantial offers to go to England. This afternoon the player? cabled acceptance, and probably will proceed abroad almost immediately. Their departure will be a severe loss both to their club and to the game generally.
