PRIEST'S JUBILEE.
GATHERING AT TUAKAU.

TUAKAU, Wednesday
To celebrate the silver sacerdotal jubilee of Father J. A. Ecelestoir there was a large gathering of Marist Brothers at Tuakau to-day. Bishop Liston, presided and was attended by Archdeacon Holbrook, of Grey Lynn, and Dean Edge, of Parnell. Bishop Liston spoke to the crowded congregation 011 the priestly office and 011 the life and work of Father Ecclestou. Father Ecclestou was entertained by the people at luncheon, at which Bishop Liston," Monsignor Cahi'ti and Brother Benignus, Provincial of the Marist Brothers, spoke. A presentation was made to him by Monsignor Caliill 011 behalf of the clergy. In the afternoon at the presbytery grounds tliere_ was a large gathering and representatives of all parts of the parish Presentations were made to Father Ecclestou on behalf of the parishioners and the children.
