FOUR LIVES LOST.
COLLISION ON LAKE HURON.

ALDENA (Michigan), November 21
Four members of the crew of the steamer W. C. Franz were lost early on Wednesday in a collision in fog between their ship and the Edward E. Loomis on Lake Huron. The W. C. Franz sank and 14 survivors were rescued by the Loomis, which was badly damaged forward but proceeded on her own power.
