REMUERA BRANCH
The annual meeting of the Remueia branch of the W.C.T.U. was held on Tuesday in the Eemuera Methodist Hall. Mrs. Hugh Kasper presided, and the treasurer's report showed a good credit balance. Interesting reports were given by the following superintendents of departments: Mrs. Hunter, peace and arbitration; Sister C4race, evangelistic; Miss Bond, cradle roll; Mrs. Phillips, flower and philanthropic; Mrs. Robinson gave a report of the National Council of Women. The president gave a report of the progress of the W.C.T.U., thanking the members for their loyal support. The election of officers resulted: Mrs. Hugh Kasper, re-elected president; Mesdames Robinson and Wright, vice-presidents; Mrs. H. S. Wrio-ht, re-elected recording secretary; Mrsf Appley, re-elected corresponding secretary; Sister Grace, evalgelist, reelected; and all superintendents of departments re-elected.
