NEW MEDAL.

Commemoration of King

George's Jubilee.

EVENT NEXT YEAR.

LONDON, November 11

In connection with the King's silver jubilee the Royal Mint will issue a medal in 1935 showing the crowned effigies of Their Majesties. It has been found impossible to And a single emblem representative of the Empire as a whole, therefore it has been decided, on the reverse of the medal, to show a view of Windsor Castle. The medal will be available in a leather case at a cost of one guinea or in a cardboard case at a cost of half-a-erown. Special arrangements are being made for sales in the Dominions. The "Daily Telegraph" says the King is contemplating making a visit to the south coast in the spring, preliminary to his silver jubilee celebrations, when he will face heavy engagements. The Queen recently visited Eastbourne and inspected the Duke of Devonshire's residence, Conipton Place. Spring at Eastbourne is dry and sunny compared with the spring at Sandringham.
