JUVENILE GYMKHANA.
HiGH STANDARD DISPLAYED. A high standard of horsemanship was displayed at the juvenile gymkhana held under the patronage of the Pakuranga Hunt Club at East Tamaki on Saturday. Record entries were received for the 121 events, nearly 70 ponies being shown. The silver cup for the champion girl rider under 15 years, presented by Mrs. Wills McLaughlin, was won outright byPhyllis Masters, of-Homai. The champion 'pony, for a trophy presented by Dr. Eisdell Moore, was Owen Findlay s Tamaki Girl, a cream-coloured pony of about 12.2 hands. The judge was Commander D. A. Bingley, of Opaheke. The master of the hunt, Mr. H. BullockWebster, addressed the young riders on the care of their animals, and the trophies were presented by Lady Sinclair Lockhart. Best boy rider, over 12: John Quigley 1, O. Findlay 2, Noel Taylor 3. Best tiny tot rider: Christine Allen 1, Charinaino Fowlds 2, Keith Hattaway 3. Bun race, 15 years and under: Malcolm Muir 1, Graham Guy 2. Musical chairs, 15 vears and under: Jean Dyer 1, Josephine Carney 2. Potato race: Gordon Bellinghain 1, Malcolm Muir 2, M. Kilgour 3.
