WHITE BUTTERFLIES.
LESS NUMEROUS THIS YEAR.
WANGANUI EXPERIENCES.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WANGANUI, this day. White butterflies in Waiiganui and district are not nearly so numerous as they were in early November last year. In the gaol gardens, for instance, where there is an abundance of cabbages for them to deposit eggs on, and where they could be seen in thousands last year, Superintendent Ching states there are comparatively few this season. Other residents who take an interest in horticulture report a similar experience.
