NIAGARA'S RIVAL.
Niagara Falls has a rival which excels it in dimension, emulates it in accomplishments, and threatens it in romantic associations. The Gersoppa Falls in Mysore, India, have a vertical fall of 900 feet, compared with Niagara's 107 feet. They are being harnessed f° r electrical power for the surrounding gold mines. It is expected to furnish a power exceeding Niagara's figure oi 1,000,000 h.p. Gersoppa may become as famous a honeymoon resort as Niagara has been. It is asserted that the rhapsodies of Gersoppa have to be heard to be believed.
