CHILD DROWNED.
FOXTON BATHS FATALITY.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
FOXTON", this day. The four-year-old son of Mr. R. Morris, of Foxton, was drowned in the Municipal Baths this morning. The child entered the baths in the absence of the caretaker, and must have fallen into the water. When the caretaker returned after a brief absence another child told her that a little boy was in the water. The child was then floating. Resuscitation methods were applied without avail.
No one other than the two children was in the bath at the time. The caretaker had left the door open during her absence, and the children must have wandered in.
