PATRIOTIC FUNDS.
MOVE FOR DISTRIBUTION. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) ■' ,'WBLLINGTON, this i day. It is the intention of Mr. J. A. Lee to introduce; in the House next February a bill to empower the Minister of Defence to insist on the New Zealand War Funds. Council, .the New Zealand Red Cross ,and the canteen fund to distribute the .greater proportion of their funds for...the. relief of distress among returned soldiers. Mr. Lee said that while there was much distress among returned soldiers, the organisations he had mentioned continued their'policy of hoarding funds, which, had been directly raised for the benefit of the soldiers.
