EXCHANGE RATES.

NEW ZEALAND CURRENCY BASIS. The Bank of New South Wales has arranged to supply daily quotations of the basis upon which it ifi prepared to do business in the. purchase and sale of the foreign exchanges shown below. Tho foreign currency is expressed in terms of New Zealand funds, and two rates arc quoted generally, one for transactions on a telegraphic basis, and the other for on demand or mail settlement. These rates are subject to alteration without notice.

CUSTOMS ASSESSMENTS. Rates of exchanges ruling at the announced dates of departure) of the vessels named are shown in the following table.
