WOODWORK.

1. Boat.—Material: Strip from box a piece of flat pine or piece of matchwood, preferably a narrow piece and already of correct width, about 3in. but to a length of llin. Both these measurements are only suggestive. Jt can be of any size desired. T«jie thickness of the wood will be from gin to lin, according to the wood available.

piece, and half-way on the shorter piece. Make a .small V-shaped cut in the end of each arm to hold string. Fit together, and bind with, string, keeping the arms of the framework at right angles. Place string round the framework in Vshaped grooves, allowing about 6ft of string to hang from pointed end for tail. Make tail from pieces , of paper.
