WAIPA RAGING CLUB
• The programme for the Waipa Racing Club's annual meeting, to be held at Te Awamutu on December 16, which appears in this issue, is endowed with' prize money totalling £800. The chief event i.s the Te Awamutu Cup, one mile and a quarter, worth £ 150, and a-trophy valued at £2.5. The other events are: Pirqngia Hurdles of £100, one mile and a half; Kihikihi Handicap of £80, .six furlongs; Waipa Plate' (weight-for-age) of £70, six furlongs; Hack' Cup of £00 and cup valued Tit £25, ss.ven furlongs; Paterangi Handicap of £100, one mile; Flying Handicap of ■£120, six furlongs; and the Ohaiipo Handicap of £9Q, seven furlongs. Nominations for all events close with the secretary, Mr. J. G. Wynyard, ,Te Awamutu, or Messrs. Blomfield and Co., Shortland Street, Auckland, on Friday, November 30, at 5 p.m.
