INDIANAPOLIS AGAIN.

N.Z. METROPOLITAN TROTS. DOMINION TO TRAMPFAST. HAROLD LOGAN SUPREME. (By Telegri.ph.—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. The champion pacers Indianapolis and Harold Logan were again successful at Addington to-day, when the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club's meeting was concluded. Indianapolis won the Chrietcliurch Handicap and Harold Logan the Free-for-All, one mile- and a quarter, making two wins each at the meeting. The weather was brilliantly fine and tlie attendance was excellent. The track was in fast order. The totalisator investments amounted to £39,428, compared with ±.'42,701 on the concluding day last year. The total for the meeting was £109,320, a decrease of £4031 on the 1933 figures of £113,951. New Metford's Success. Teviot Downs was the early leader in the Governor's Handicap, with New Meiford, King's Voyage, Lough Guy and Sea Gift handy. There was not much change with half the journey gone, when Teviot Downs drew out several lengths clear of Nell Volo, who was going well at this stage. Two furlongs from home Teviot Downs was clear of Xew Met ford, with Nell Volo three lengths.away, but Teviot Downs tired. New Metford beating N.dl Volo by a length and a half. Teviot Downs was a' length away, with Great Way next. New Metford lias raced vety consistently at the meeting. Nell Vollo was very unlucky, as she lost fully 24 through tangling at the start. Tempest Again. Eureka Boy set the pace in the Hornby Handicap, with Colonial Boy, Craganour and Harvest Child ucxt. Three furlongs from home Tempest moved up fast from the back... He took charge before the straight was reached, winning easily, while Harvest' Child finished fast, beating Colonial Boy by a neck, with SomerLy another neck away. Tempest was badly placed early and his performance made him look a high-class sprinter. A Great Performance. The performance of Indianapolis in winning the Christchurch Handicap was one of the most amazing seen on tlie track. The strap which held up one side of his hopples broke after going just over two furlongs and for the remainder of the journey the hopples were a hindrance, rather than a help. Blue Mountain led out from Kingcraft, Ayrmont Chimes. Silver de Oro and Sunny Morn, while at the end of half a mile Roi l'Or had headed Indianapolis. There was not much change till half a mile from home, where Impromptu and Silver de Oro moved up to Blue Mountain, while.a furlong further on Roi l'Or, Sir Guy and Indianapolis headed the others. .Blue Mountain was followed to the straight by Roi l'Or and Indianapolis, after which the last-named went on to win easily by two lengths from Glenrossic, who, after tangling at the start, finished brilliantly in second place, two lengths in front of Roi l'Or, then came Silver de Oro and Blue Mountain. The performance of the winner left no doubt that he is an exceptionally good horse, likely to develop into the best ever seen in the Dominion. Vesuvius Running Well. Pegaway was the early leader in the Sprinters' Handicap, but George Roy headed him after going two furlongs, having a lead of several lengths half a mile from home, with Pegaway, Probationer. Avernus "and Vesuvius next. Vesuvine joined the leader before the straight was reached and won easily tiffin Mountain Dell, who outstayed George Rey and Pegaway. The winner" has run some good races lately. Won All the Way.

Prince Author and Real Burton led all the way in the Australasian Handicap. Pronto Bingen was third for a mile and then dropped out. leaving Margaret Chennult, Mocast and Rey Spec heading tlie others. Rey Spec followed the two lenders to the straight, but could not catch Real Burton, while Prince Author won comfortably. These three had raced consistently throughout the meeting.

Finished Fast. The Dominion Handicap drew nine.good class trotters. Stanley Bingen, Biddy Pairish, Huon Voyage and Worthy Queen broke in the first furlong. Writer led for a mile and a quarter, then retired. Nicova, Huon Voyage, Worthy Queen and Wraekler were all handy at the home turn, but Trampfast finished best, beating Nicova by three lengths, with Huon Voyage two lengths away and Worthy Queen next. Trampfast was a good performer a few seasons ago, but only recently returned to racing after a spell.

An Easy Win. Queen Author and Elvo led from the start in the Lyttelton Handicap and Sure, Xelson de Oro, Linella, War Paint and Gay Gordon were always next, but Nelson de Oro retired at the end of a mile and a half. Elvo drew out in the straight, stalling oft' Gay Gordon by a length, with Queen Author half a length away and Sure a length further back. Elvo is a very solid pacer and is still improving. Free-For-AII. The Free-for-All saw Harold Logan take the lead soon after the start, with Impromptu and Roi I'Or next, while the other positions 'changed more than once. Impromptu was'beaten at the end of a mile and Roi I'Or then challenged, but Harold Logan beat him easly by three lengths. Roi I'Or, in fact, only hung on long enough to stall off Tempest, who showed himself up to the best class in finishing a close third. Glenrossie. after a slow start, was flying into fourth place, with Impromptu next. The winner had a great ovation after a fine effort. Roi I'Or, though beaten each day, raced very consistently.
