ONEHUNGA. The annual meeting-of the Onehunga W.C.T.U. w,as held on Thursday in the Methodist school room, when reports from officers and superintendents were read. It .was stated that the membership was' 72. There were 243 Little White Ribboners on the cradle roll, and Mrs. Bickle, the superintendent; had paid .100 visits to their homee. . The Maori branch at Kurahuna had nine members, with Sister Gittos as. superintendent. Two of the union members were on school committees .and others j had helped in street collections arid at other functions in connection with W.C.T.U. work. Officers elected for the coining year were: President, Mrs. Mountjoy; secretary and press, Mrs. Stacey; treasurer, Mrs.. Mushet; white . ribbon agent,:-Mrs. Ashby; cradle roll superintendent, Mrs. Bickle; home meeting superintendent, Mrs. Laybourn; .evangelistic superintendent, Mrs. For■'clyce, juri.; Maori superintendent, Sister (iittos; afternoon tea committee, Mesdames Cooper, Hodder, Taylor, Hollings, and Wright. Mrs. Laybourn gave a report of the recent; New Zealand Alliance Convention, and Mre. Ashby a brief account of her visit to Australia.
