WAR PENSION APPEALS.

ACCELERATING HEARINGS. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Kcportcr.) WELLINGTON, this day. A special effort is being made by the War Pensions Appeal Board to dispose of the cases before it within the next three months. It is understood that the board will sit on every day of the week, except Saturday, from 3.15 p.m., and will deal with six cases t'aily, making a total of 30 for the week. Special evening sittings are to bo arranged from time to time to dispose of all deferred cases. Tho Minister of Pensions, Mr. Cobbe, stated to-day that he had been advised by the chairman of the board that medical officers had agreed to join with him in endeavouring to clear off tho appeal cases set down for the present sitting as quickly as was reasonably possible consistently with their proper consideration.
