HUNTLY DEFEATS AUCKLANDERS.
A. M. Mnfheson's Auckland eleven visited Iluntly on Sunday and suffered defeat by 100 runs. Scores:— Matheson's Team.—sl (G. Wallace 13, Anderson 24). , , ~ „, IlHHtly.'—2l7 for eight wickets (McGnuehna'n 101 retired, Siddells 50). Merrill and Hedley, seven for 27 and four for 12 respectively, were the bowlers for the winners, while Culhonc two for 25 and Shlltou three for 30 did best for the visitors. WINGER 145 AT HAMILTON. Playing in the Walkato cricket competition'on Saturday. Hamilton East won by an innings and 35 runs in its match against Old Boys. Scoring 178 in its first innings, the winning team dismissed Old Boys for li 3 and 82, the last wicket falling just before time. Compiling 82 in its first innings and 135 in the second, ClnudoMr.ds was defeated by the Hamilton team, which compiled 220 for live w'.ekcts, declared, Winger scoring 145 not out.
