Tho closing of the Otahuhu Golf Club was held on Saturday, when a mixed foursome competition was played prior to a social function in the evening. There was a large entry for the linal competition over nine holes. The best net scores were as follow:—Mrs. Amodeo and A. Todd, 323; .Miss Butler and H. .T. Levy, 33J ; Miss Muir and R. Brown, 35J; Miss Smith aud J. Prime, 353. There was a large attendance of members at the Grange links clubhouse in the evening, when the president, Mr. G. Cox, and Mrs. Cox presented the trophies. In closing the twenty-fourth season of the Thames Golf Club and presenting the numerous prizes. Mr. E. .T. Clendon, the [(resident, said the club had experienced fairly good weather throughout the season. The greens had been maintained in good order, and many of the members had shown a marked improvement in their play. There was good competition in all the matches, and the club was closing the season in a satisfactory financial position.
