RIFLE SHOOTING.

AUCKLAND CITY CLUB. The Auckland City Defence Rifle Club fired the first round of the service championship on Saturday, under excellent conditions and the standard of shooting was exceptionally high, especially in the rapid practice. The practices tired were live rounds application and five rounds snap shooting at 200 yds, followed by ten rounds rapid, a grouping practice being fired first at 25yds, five rounds application at 300 yds concluded the competition.
