WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon' the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton: — Light to moderate, but freshening, northerly winds, backing to south-west after about 24 hours. Weather fair at first, with warm temperatures, but gradually clouding over and some rain developing; seas, moderate. Pressure rather high to the east and north-east, but a moderate westerly depression is approaching from the Tasnian Sea. HAURAKI GUXF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day: — Wind, northerly, light and freshening; lino and clear, with scattered clouds; visibility, good; sea, smooth; barometer, steady.
