EARTHQUAKE AT TE KUITI. PEOPLE LEAVE THEIR BEDS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TE KUITI, this day. A double shock of earthquake, passing north to south, was felt here at 9.45 last night. People left their beds, but no damage was reported. SHOCK AT TATJMARUNUI. NORTH TO SOUTH DIRECTION. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAUMARUNUI, this day. A sharp earthquake shock, which lasted several seconds, was felt in Taumarunui last evening at 9.45 The direction was north and south, and although the shock was somewhat alarming it caused no damage in the central King Country.
