FANCY DRESS DANCE.
The Mairangi Bay Progressive Association held a most successful fancy dress dance at the local hall on Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Broad judged the costumes. Prizes were given to the following: Best original costumes, Mr. and Mrs. Car*c#i, Mr. Daws and Miss Kainpy, Mrs. Caldwell and Mr. Tavlor. Miss Lois Greenbury with her partner. Master Jack Carson, as Punch and Judy, were highly commended, pnd received a special prize. Mrs. Page, as duck and green peas, and Master Gordon Millard as Hitler, were »lso highly commended, . _ .
