KNOCK-OUT COMPETITION. Farmers defaulted to Hospital, and Seamen's United defeated Automatic Kxchange in the semi-final for the Abel's Cup, ilie knock-out trophy in the business houses competition. The Seamen were too good for Exchange, and ran out winners by 4 goals to 1. Dickens played a great game in goal for the Seamen, and brought off many brilliant saves. Kane, of Exchange, also kept goal very well, and. excepting a goal scored from a free-kick by Cullane, lie gave a remarkably good exhibition between the posts. Woolsey. Tinton and Connor played their usual enterprising games, and Ilarfield, at insideright, and Do Rose put in a lot of useful work. Olson scored first for Seamen, Cullane, I)o Rose and Hamilton adding further goals. Ilulbert scored a beautiful goal from 20 yards out for Exchange. I*. Humphries, Cooke, Brown. Claridge and Kerr were the best of the others. Mr. L. J. Check was referee. » The final between Auckland Hospital and Seamen's United will be played on Blandford Park at 4.15 p.m. on Wednesday next. Mr. A. Lowe will act as referee. JUNIOR KNOCK-OUT FINAL. Further laurels were added to the Grey Lynn school's successes this season when tllev defeated Napier Street school in the junior knock-out final competition at Blandford Park. Grey Lynn outclassed their opponents, registering a victory by 3 goals to 1, after a splendid exhibition of the code. The winners meet the Devonport school in the "champion of champion.," match next Saturday, and a very interesting game is expected. Mr. A. Lowe will be the referee.
