LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
JUNIOR MANAGEMENT AFFAIRS. At the meeting of the junior management committee of the Auckland Rugby League last evening, Mr. D. Wilkie presiding, a letter was read from Ngaruawahia acknowledging with appreciation the visits of the Marist and Ponsonby third grade teams.
Approval was given the transfer of W. Brimble, Manukau third intermediate, to Newton Rangers to play in senior rank.
As a result of Saturday's games it was announced that two more matches will require to take place to finalise the third intermediate competition, as, although Marists are in the lead by two points from Ponsonby, the former have two games to play. In the event of a defeat or a draw, they will have to play off for the knock-out. Players For England. The international, Roy Hardgrave, and Len Schultz, who have been playing with the recently-formed Mount Albert senior team, are leaving by the Tainui this afternoon en route to England to play for the York Club. They were guests at a farewell social on Saturday evening, when they were extended the best of eood wishes.
