OLD FOLKS' GATHERING.

The annual reunion of Methodist old folks was held in the Pitt Street Methodist Church on Saturday afternoon. The Rev. J. W. Shackelford presided over a large attendance. The function coincided with the ninety-first anniversary of the opening of the first Methodist church in Auckland. The Rev. P. N. Knight, a former minister of the church, gave an address, after which bouquets were presented by the minister, the Rev. W. Walker, to Mr. Pearce, Mrs. Pernall, and Mrs. Brackenrig, the oldest members present. Solos were rendered by Mrs. K. J. Rosser and the Rev. A. Mitchell. After the ceremony tea was provided by Sister Margaret, deaconess of the church, assisted by lady members.
