i • DETTON AND BROWNING. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HASTINGS, this day. Bright and colourful wrestling was provided by Dean Detton and Walter Browning in a contest that went the full eight rounds here on Saturday night, the decision being a draw after each man had secured a fall. In the fourth round Browning threw his opponent about the ring with headlocks and applied a reverse wristlock with a body press for a fall. •After having Browning in trouble with a short arm scissors practically throughout the 'sixth round Detton got in early in! the seventh round with a similar hold ion the same arm. In a few minutes he changed the hold to a hammerlock, Browning submitting. LURICH AND MEYER SCORE. SYDNEY, October 7. In a wrestling match at the Leichliardt Stadium last evening, Tom Lurich defeated KW Elliott by two falls to one. At the Sydney Stadium Fred Meyer de£eai«&Jack Oajfc by two straight falls.
