annual gathering
On Saturday afternoon at the Lyceum Club tlie members of the Ex-Service Women's Association entertained their friends at a particularly enjoyable party. Tlicrc was a record attendance of members, wlio with their guests, were welcomed by the president, .Mis. L. - iGould. A musical programme presented comprised the pianoforte solos. Chopin's Nocturne in E Flat, Major Xp. 2 and tho finale to Chopin's Senata. m is Minor, played by Mrs. 11. Bloy; song, "Spring's a Lovable Lady" and "Keep on Hoping," by Mrs. A. E. Middle ton, and two Maori songs by Mrs. S. Kinnear. Mrs. Stewart Masson and Mrs. 11. Bloy acted as accompanists. Competitions were also held, which contiibutcd to the afternoon's enjoyment.
