Grasshopper Plague Infests
Millions of Acres.
N.S.W. AND QUEENSLAND,
(Received 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Main, stated in the Assembly that 32,000,000 acres in New South Wales had been infested by the grasshopper pest.
A Brisbane message saj's that the grasshopper plague is reaching serious dimensions in the Goondiwindi and Wollumbilla districts, where swarms are attacking extensive belts of wheat.
