TANKER DUE TO-DAY.

MONTEREY ON FRIDAY.

Tho tanker South Africa and the liner Monterey are the only overseas ships due before tho week-end. Next week ten ships loading or discharging overseas cargo are scheduled for Auckland. On Friday morning the Fordedale is to s;iil for London.

South Africa is expected at 8 p.m. today from Los Angeles with a bulk cargo of petrol for the Texas Oil Company. She is to commence discharge at the Western wharf, sailing later for Wellington/ Lyltelton, Dunedin and Australia.

Monterey is expected on Friday morning from Los Angeles, via Honolulu, Pago Pago and Suva. She is to sail at .-> p.m. the same day for .Sydney and Melbourne -with passengers, mails and cargo. (IT. and M.)

The Imperial sloop Laburnum uudocked this morning after a relit, and she is to sail on November 5 for Taurangii, Piclon, Wanganul, Nelson, New Plymouth, Wellington and Gisborno, returning to Auckland ou January 13. PICTON FERRY SERVICE. The Union Company advises that on October 22 (Labour Day) the Tnmalllne will not leave Wellington for Pit-ton until midnight On November 1 (Marlborough Anniversary), the vessel will leave Picton at 7 a.m. 'on 1111 excursion 'to Wellington, and will leave Wellington for Picton at 4.30 p.m. the same flay.
