NOTE ISSUE LOWER. GOVERNMENT DEPOSITS HIGHER. The Reserve Rank return gazetted yestcrday covers operations for Urn week ended September 24. The statement is balanced at £30,513,182, or £3431 more than last week. Alter its rise of £578,000 the previous week. the note issue decreased by £l!),.~i48. Government deposits were higher by £334.173, while the deposits of the trading banks decreased by £312,378. The assets remained practically stationary. SteiUng exchange increased by £1514.
