Mr. Justice Reed, who has been presiding in the Supreme Court, leaves for Wellington this evening.
Mr. M. H. Gunn, district clerk in the Auckland office of the Health Department, has received notice of his transfer on }iroiuotion to Wellington.
Mr. E. C. Hands, general manager of the New Zealand Broadcasting Board, left Wellington by the Wanganella yesterday for Sydney. He will be away about a fortnight.
Captain Donald P. Simson, 0.8. E., hon. secretary of the British Empire Service League, is among the passengers on the Aorangi, which arrives from Vancouver on Sunday afternoon. Captain Simeon, who is on his way to attend the seventh biennial conference of the league at Melbourne next month, will break his journey at Auckland to pay brief visits to Wellington and other North Island centres before joining the Wanganella on October 11 for Australia. His last visit to his native land was in 191 C, when he was instrumental in founding at Wellington the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association. On Monday he will be a guest of the Rotary Club at the weekly luncheon.
