CAPITAL PUNISHMENT.
(By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. A petition seeking the abolition of capital punishment, signed by A. D. Simpson and 279 others, received an adverse report from the Public Petitions Committee of the House of Representatives, which reported to the House jTe-s----tcrday that it had no recommendation to make.
